Once satisfied, sign your Purchase Agreement (via DocuSign). During this period, you will also need to complete the mandatory identity verification (AML/KYC) checks and the provision of your Source of Funds documentation.
Pay your chosen deposit amount (or first payment), which formally secures the Purchase Agreement.
Once your payment plan is complete and the full purchase price is settled, the ownership title is formally transferred into your name at the Land Registry, at which time the final, mandatory acquisition costs become due, consisting of the Government Stamp Duty and the $1,520 Legal Transfer Fee.

Stamp Duty. A one-time Cayman Islands Government charge, paid at title transfer. Standard rate 7.5%, rising to 10% on purchases at or above CI$2 million (effective 1 January 2026, per The Stamp Duty (Rates of Duty) (No. 2) Regulations, 2025). Qualifying Caymanian buyers are entitled to Government concessions on raw land - including no stamp duty up to CI$250,000 for first-time single Caymanians. If you develop the land before title transfer, duty is calculated on the combined value of land and property. Rates and concessions set by Government, subject to change. Confirm eligibility with an independent Cayman Islands attorney.
